Very well designed as usual from Brenthaven,
I wanted a small backpack so I don’t end up carrying things I don’t need just because I could. This bag is very stylish and solidly built. The outside feels more like denim than nylon, which is a good thing because it feels soft. The padding on the straps are nice and comfortable. Side access to laptops has always been a good thing for me and I love this feature as well.
There are two layers of compartments inside. Both have no depth so don’t expect to squeeze more than 100 sheets of paper in there. I don’t think it’s designed for larger power adapters so be careful there.
I am only giving this 4 stars because it’s can be just a bit more useful without sacrificing anything. Ideally, I would like to see some external way to attach a water bottle or umbrella. It could be as simple as an elastic belt, or a folded pocket on the cover.

|Great bag,
Very protective of my laptop. It does a great job protecting it when I throw my bag around. It has a great place for my iPad and all my other stuff. Everything is easily accessible, the laptop is a zipper away and the iPad and all the rest of my stuff is just covered by a large flap and also easy to access… never need to undo multiple zippers/flaps/buckles/anything.
It was exactly what I wanted.

This is a very well built pack – the materials and zippers are of obvious quality and the fit and finish are very well executed. The outer shell is of ballistic nylon but has a very soft hand and a unique look.
The various pockets and compartments are well thought-out and hold just the right amount of stuff – in my case, iPad, iPod, iPhone, Kindle, a leather notepad and a bunch of pens – while maintaining a very low profile. On the plane, bus, or train everything you need is right there without the bulk and, if things get crowded, it sits comfortably on your lap without taking up anybody else’s space. Best of all, the limited amount of space forces you to concentrate on what you really need rather than what you really want to lug around.
The rain fly is a great feature and will keep things dry for quite a while in moderate rain. Just be sure to let the fly dry completely before you restow it.
Concerns are few: the buckles are stylish but will that affect durablility? Also, the laptop compartment needs your attention to make sure that it’s zipped before moving. This is obviously a convenience trade-off and the contrasting interior fabric makes it easy to know when your fly is open, but you do have to be careful. Finally, I’m not a huge fan of any of the available color schemes – but I’m willing to err on the side of function over form given the many merits of this pack.
